There are a number of situations that require a dental crown. A crown may be used to protect a weak tooth from decay, to cover and support a filling, to restore a broken tooth, to hold a dental bridge in place, to cover discoloured teeth or to cover an implant.
At Kew Dentistry, recommendations may involve avoiding sticky, chewy or hard foods, reducing use of the relevant side of the mouth and taking particular brushing and flossing precautions. Your dentist will discuss individual recommendations at your appointment.
